Flower Care

When you receive flowers from Wild Rose Florist, you can be certain they are “Premium Quality, Fresh Cut Flowers”. We want you to get the best from your flowers and for them to last as long as possible.

  • Bouquets are sent out wet packed or with individual water vials attached to each stem to ensure that flowers arrive Fresh.
  • Boxed flower arrangements (and similar) have a bowl with floral foam and water that the flowers are arrange in.

Please read and follow the care instructions below to help your flowers last as long as possible.

Boxed Flower or Bowl Arrangements

Boxed flower or Bowl arrangements are delivered fresh to your door with a clear cellophane wrap that covers the flowers and has a decorative bow and ribbon attached. The cellophane wrap offers protection to the flowers while in transit and also adds to the presentation of a beautiful gift of flowers.

  • To help your flowers breathe, please remove the cellophane wrap as soon as possible after you receive your flowers
  • Place flowers in a cool spot with natural filtered light
  • Where possible, try to avoid direct sunlight, strong heating or air conditioning
  • Avoid placing flowers under strong down lights as these are a direct source of heat
  • Check the water bowl inside the box at the base of the arrangement to ensure the water supply is adequate, top up if necessary
  • Check water daily and top up if necessary
  • Remove spent flowers to help keep your arrangement looking fresh

Flower Bouquets and Gift Wraps

Flower bouquets and gift wrapped flowers are delivered fresh to your door in a cellophane and craft paper wrap with decorative ribbons and bows.

  • Please remove the cellophane and craft paper wrap as soon as possible after you receive your flowers
  • Remove wet pack material or water vials from flower stems
  • Fill a suitable vase to approximately 75%  and add flower food (supplied with your flowers) to the vase
  • Place flowers in vase, locate vase in a cool spot, with natural filtered light
  • Where possible, try to avoid direct sunlight, strong heating or air conditioning
  • Avoid placing flowers under strong down lights as these are a direct source of heat
  • Fresh flowers love “Fresh” water, change vase water every two days, add half a teaspoon of bleach to the water each time you change it
  • Remove spent flowers to help keep your arrangement looking fresh
